HUST CLARIFICATION RE ‘BRING BACK UNITED’ CAMPAIGN

HUST CLARIFICATION RE ‘BRING BACK UNITED’ CAMPAIGN

HUST would like to clarify its position given the recent publication of various ‘Bring Back United’ items.

  • The HUST Board stands neutral on this discussion. We will always welcome fans to debate any matter ‘all things Edgar Street’.
  • The ‘Bring Back United’ campaign is separate to HUST. We are like any other HFC shareholder in this respect.
  • HUST does not hold any monies on behalf of the campaign.
  • The HUST Board can confirm we have met with representatives of the campaign to advise on the HUST voting process and the HFC voting process. We have encouraged the campaign to also currently speak with other shareholders of the Football Club.
  • No proposal has yet been received for the HUST AGM. There is a precedence as directed previously from HUST members that of those voting, 75% in favour will be required for HUST to table a proposal to HFC shareholders.
  • Similarly, for a Special Resolution of the Football Club, 75% of HFC shareholders would need to vote in favour to pass it, of which the HUST element is only 50%.
  • Following our meeting with the campaign representatives, Matty Rowe has offered his services to assist with general HUST duties and we are pleased to co-opt him given the skills he can bring, following governance review. This remains entirely independent of the campaign issues
